SpainxReader- Movie Date

A SpainxReader that I had in my head~

“Come on, ________.” Vina whined. “I know that you just got out of a relationship, but I 
know a guy that you might like.” 
“Yeah right.” You muttered. 


 Vina almost literally dragged you to this new café that opened up near your house, 
but, since your recent relationship ended poorly, you didn’t feel like going anywhere. The 
café was a humble little store located between a thrift store and Walgreen’s. Going in, a 
little bell rung, signaling your arrival. 


“Hola, chicas~ welcome to my café!” A happy Spaniard greeted. 
“Hola, Antonio.” Vina replied. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen you!” 
“Same here!” 
“This is my friend, ________. She’s been sad lately, so I thought this could cheer her 
up.” 
“Hola ________~” 
“Hi…” 


 Antonio led the two of you to a small table next to the windows. He handed you a 
small menu, and Vina ordered a cup of coffee. As he left, Vina softly nudged you. You 
looked at her with a “what?” type of face, and she giggled before pointing at Antonio. 


“So~? What’cha think of him?” Vina asked with an innocent face. 
“He’s nice… but, I just got out of a relationship.” You replied, looking back at Antonio. 
You blushed slightly before turning back to your friend. 
“Dude~ You liiikkkeee him~” She sang, smiling the entire time. 
“I do not.” You countered. 
“Some coffee for mi amiga, and have you decided yet, _______?” Antonio said, holding 
a cup of coffee and a small writing pad. 
“[Favorite cake/pastry]” 
“Ok, that’ll only take a second!” 


 You sighed because everyone around you seemed to be happy…Even the 
inanimate objects… You heard Vina’s coffee cup be set down on the table. 


“Look at the time~ I’ve gotta go. See ya later, _______.” She said, leaving the table. 
“Bye…” You muttered. Antonio then came over to your table with your cake. 
“I guess it’s just us then, huh?” 
“Si~” 
“I’ve been wondering… Vina’s one of my best friends… Do you think she set this up? I 
mean, it seems like something she’d do…” 
“It does, doesn’t it?” He laughed. “In all honesty, she wanted me to cheer you up~. So… 
If you wanted, do you want to go see a movie tonight?” 
“I have nothing better to do. Why not?” You finished your cake at the end of the chat. 
“See you at seven?” 
“Alright~!”

 You checked yourself one last time in the mirror before going to meet Antonio. 
You had put on a light coat of lipstick and a little mascara. Make–up wasn’t a big thing 
with you, and, normally, you’d prefer to look natural, but you wanted to look good 
tonight for some reason. A vibrating noise came from your purse and took you out of 
your thoughts. 


“Hello?” You asked, finally fishing your phone out. 
“Hola, ________!” Antonio’s cheery voice greeted. “So which movie did you want to 
see?” 
“You’re already at the theatre?!” 
“Si~ I wanted to surprise you there, but then I realized that I don’t know what movie you 
want to see.” 
“[Favorite movie title]… I mean, if that’s ok with you.” 
“Si~ It’s fine.” 
“See you then.” 


 You hung up and rushed out to your car. You finally got to the theatre about five 
minutes before the showing of the movie. Like he said, Antonio was already there. He 
was standing right in front of the ticket taker (AN: or…whatever that person’s called…). 
As the two of you walked past the employee, Antonio linked arms with you, causing a 
light blush to appear on your face. You looked away slightly, to which he chuckled at.  


“Just a question: how’d you meet Vina?” You asked, breaking a somewhat awkward 
silence. You felt a vibration from your phone again. Getting it out, you noticed that 
someone had texted you. It was from Vina saying “This is your date! Leave me out of it.  
–.–” “Er… Never mind.”

 You loved the movie. The main actor was so realistic compared to his fellow cast–
members. Antonio enjoyed the movie as well because he kept talking about it after the 
movie. As you walked outside, you noticed that your car was gone. 


“Wh–What happened to my car?!” You asked, standing at the spot that you parked it at. 
“It might have something to do that you parked in a handicapped area, Ma’am.” Someone 
said as they passed by. 
“Hey, don’t worry, chica~. I’ll drive you home~.” Antonio offered. You nodded your 
head, following him to his car. 


 On the ride home, you and Antonio swapped stories. Some funny, some sad. It 
felt nice to tell someone (who’s not your two–timing ex) stories from your life. And being 
around Antonio…Well, your heart fluttered when you were near him, especially when he 
escorted you to your front door. 


“Well…” You started. “I really enjoyed this; we should do this again sometime.” 
“As did I, ________~” Antonio said, winking at the end and causing a darker blush to 
erupt on your face. “I’ll call you up for the second date.” 
“Date?” Then he gently kissed you on the lips before winking again. 
“I’ll see you later, chica~” 
“Later, Antonio.”
